Our Sports ministry is a blend of great physical exercise with social interaction and spiritual reshaping. We offer to you Fun Hockey and Fellowship for all ages In our Savior Jesus Christ. From the young to the young at heart. We Meet Every Thursday Evening from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at KVMS ARENA. A fun way to get to know our church family at the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ and the Community. The Cost to play is $5.00 a night per player, and $3.50 per Goalie. All spectators are welcome.

I dont know about you guys, but I, on a personal note am very excited for this summer! One, because there will be no school which will mean there will be hopefully nothing to worry about. And Two, Hockey Night In Burtts Corner will be returning for a second year! The date aimed for the first night back is May 10th 2007, so lets just have patience till that day comes! Last year was so much fun and we only got about 5 or 6 weeks in, imagine how fun its gonna be this year, theres gonna be alot more hockey, which means theres gonna be alot more fun .. (and it also means alot more GOALS & ASSIST & POINTS & last but not least PENALTY MINUTES for the "Great 93", cant wait for this summer, its gonna be a "Great" one

well, what can I say. Tony Stewart never done his best on the track today. But ya know when you collide with another car at one point in the race, whats your chances in winning? oh well, that was only one race, theres still plenty to go. Im still behind Stewart! .. and besides, Dale Jr. never done the best either so its all good!

And as for you MR ADAM HANSON, i bet you feel like a fool now dont ya? I admit, that was quite the trick you pulled off that night when you told me i could have him, and you took him the next day or whatever. Maybe next time you will think twice about doing that eh!

What a weekend that was! although the habs lost both games, I enjoyed myself in Montreal! First game was a very exciting one between the Habs and the Rangers. The habs never played to well in the 1st period, but they woke up after that and put on a good show for their home town crowd. The second night they had the NJ Devils, that game never went well as they couldnt get anything going and found them selfs in a whole 2-0 at the end of the 1st, and eventually lost the game 3-0! so thats just to bad that the habs never pulled through, but I promise you this, I wont cry about it!
It was a crazy little trip that i had thats for sure. The atmosphere in the rink, and even the city is so amazing! ... It was a fun time, but I must say im happy to be back home!

This weekend is gonna be one of the most exciting ones of my life. Last night my Dad came to me and asked me if I would like to go to Montreal on the weekend to see 2 hockey games, i thought he was just teasing, but apparently not!! So this weekend, Saturday morning at 5:00 I am heading to Montreal to see the Habs play the New York Rangers, then see them play again against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday ... I Cant Wait!!

well Christmas has unfortunately been here, and has gone. Christmas went wickedly fast but when you really think about it we have so much to be thankful for. Did you have a nice bed to sleep on everynight? Did you have shelter that provided you with heat? did you open presents on December 25th? we have that to be thankful for, and so much more like Friends and Family. I loved the Christmas season this year to get to spend with you guys. I know I never really got into the "Christmas Spirit", but I did enjoy my Christmas break with you guys. So now begins another event, New Years eve, and New Years its self. This is litterally a new beginning for all of us, take advantage of this. Make the year 2007 be the best one of all, enjoy and be thankful for what you have, and are going to get this coming year.

Indeed there is another amazing weekend coming just ahead for me. On Friday, two great things will be going on. First and formost, as most of you know my brother is coming home for the Christmas season, and I can hardly wait for that. Its gonna be some more great times for me and him this holiday season no doubt. And then to top that day off and make it 100%, later that night, (again as you know), we will be spending our night at the Foremans for our youth group christmas party. I cant wait for that Friday! ..

then Saturday I guess I get a bit of a break as I will be doing absolutely nothing till Saturday night, and AGAIN, you should know what I am doing on Saturday night. (For you slow people, Ill be watching the LEAFS-Rangers game on Hockey Night In Canada!) .. So that will take up Saturday... OH YEAH!! I just remembered that I have a Christmas play practice on that day as well. Next after that will be another BIG DAY as I will be getting up outta bed nice and early for church, then going there for a bit. Then after that there will be some practice for the Christmas play that we are doing that is on Sunday night!! .. so this is a big weekend for me. I hope you guys have good weekend, I know I will!

Last night was yet another great night in my life. It was the Leo Hayes Christmas formal. Now I was looking forward to this event all week, but I never thought it would of been as fun as it was. This was my first dance that I have went to in high school, and because of the fun I had, it will not be the last. It was a incredable night though, and I had a hard time getting to sleep becuase of the fun I had.Now don't get me wrong, but the reason why I had so much fun may be because of the girl that I had to spend it with!

Friday, Novemeber, 24th, 2006 it will be another game between the STU Tommies, and the UNB Varsity Reds. So far this year both teams have been playing a good season, unfortuntely STU has been playing the better one, but that will mean nothing when these two teams faceoff for the second time this year. The last game that these two Fredericton rivals played the STU Tommies ran away with a 3-1 win, but we all know that the only reason STU won that game is because I was in Prince Edward Island at the time. HOWEVER, on Friday night I will not be in PEI, I will be in the Aitken Center watching the game! The Tommies havn't beatin the V-Reds in the Aitken Center since February 28th 2002 when they won 3-2 in overtime. Going into this game, UNB's record against STU in AUS Mens hockey is 93 Wins 44 Loss 8 Ties ...

Today was a great day, you couldnt ask for a better start to a week really. I woke up this morning thinking right away, that I only have 4 days of school, then I have a 4 day weekend! I just kept thinking of the positives like what was going on this week. Youth Group, The hockey game Friday Night (STU vs UNB). Then the Leafs are on HNIC so I will get some time to spend with my Dad. When I came home from school, Dad told me that Darrell was coming home on December 16th, so now I am just counting the days down to that, I miss you BIG D! So now all I have to do is keep having some great days, and eventually December 16th will come, and I will have my whole family to spend another Christmas with. Im so pumped for it. Darrell, I know at about this time that you are very busy with all of your school work at MCC, so I, as well as our youth group and church, will continue to pray for you to be successful. I love you Bro, your the best brother a person could ever have, and I mean it. See you in 26 Days! I Love you!

Good Weekend Again, And More Good Times To Come!

This weekend was yet another great one. Not so much in the hockey world as the Leafs lost to the Devils Saturday night 2-1, they played well though! And the V-Reds done good I guess as they defeated Dalhousie Tigers, but lost to the STFX X-Men in OT. I think the leafs only lost because we never watched Hockey Night In Canada at the Gilberts home.

Put a side the hockey stuff, This weekend was good in general as I got to spend some time with Chelsey Palmer, so that was some pretty fun stuff if I do say so my self, and we are going to have some more fun coming up very soon right! (December 5th)

Coming up this weekend is Game 3 of STU vs UNB, This game is held at the Aitken University Center at 7:00 .. Dan, I think this should be made as a youth group event ** HINT HINT** That is if you are not busy, the game is on Friday November 24th. Its gonna be a good one, I hope!

Why the frig do people hate the leafs? you know, it really does begin to make a person fiercly angry. The leafs are just like any other team in the NHL, there is absolutely NO reason to hate them. Are they a Canadian team? YES! they are, shouldnt you idiots be supporting them, like I mean we only have 6 Canadian Teams in the whole NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE. In the long run, you people should feel bad about the Toronto Maple Leafs and their organization. They have had it tough,they havnt won a cup in 40 long years. So why hate the leafs? Is it because of their fanbase, that its so much bigger then your favorite NHL clubs? Is it really the fact that you are jalous, and angry about the fact that every where you go, you will see Leafs fans, is it because when the leafs are playing in your favorite NHL teams rink you will hear "GO LEAFS GO"? I really dont understand why people HATE the leafs, its sick, it really is. Its rediculous, it really is. There is no need for hate in the NHL, we have all experienced an NHL LOCKOUT, you should be THANKFUL that we have hockey in our world again today. The only reason I can see that a person would hate another NHL club, is because 1a)They have a better Team OR 1b) They are just playing way to FRIGGIN GOOD! ... think about this, Are you really a hockey fan? If the word "Hate" comes into the hockey world, im sorry to tell you my friends, you are NOT a true hockey fan. I know im going to get some nasty comments because of that, but grow up, and think about it. Canada's national sport is hockey, prove it. Thankyou, that is all.

This past weekend was yet another great one. And yes, probably because it involved alot of hockey which is always good. Its also a good thing if your team wins. (TML 5 - 1 MTL) however, UNB lost to frigen Moncton 3-1, but thats ok, we will get them next time. Wish the weekend would of been longer so that I could of done a little bit more, but hey, it was a 3 day weekend, so I guess its time for another fun week of school! Im sure it wont be that bad, look on the bright side, there are only 3 days till Friday.

This was game one of the year, the game was at the ACC in toronto. In this game, the first game of the year for these two, The habs won it as Kovalov won the game for the Leafs in shootout.

This was game two of this great Canadian Rivalry, it was one of the most intense shootouts that I have ever seen. So with the Habs winning game one in Toronto, and the Leafs winning game two in Montreal .. That just leads us to ask, who will win Game 3 of this 8 game divisional rivalry in Toronto, On Saturday Night?!!

This weekend is going to be another great one, as it is an action packed weekend of Hockey! All starting this Saturday night at Lily's house where we will be watching the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens. The past two games have went to shootout overtime, both resulting in a 5-4 win for each team. This is the 3rd game of this year for the Habs & Leafs so it should be a interesting one. Or should it? we cannot forget that our team captain (Mats Sundin) has suffered an injury to his elbow and will be out for a month! which really sucks. Heres hoping that the Leafs will keep up the good work with him out of the lineup, but if not, I must say I wouldn't be suprised.
UNB VREDS vs UDEM BLEU AIGLES
ALSO this weekend on Sunday night I will be going to the Aitken Centre where the UNB V-REDS will be hosting the UDEM Blue Angels at 7:00. I love the fact that we have no school the next day, so it will give me another day to get all my energy back after this weekend. GO REDS GO!!

Last but not least, this weekend is Remembrance day, Don't forget to take a moment just to have silence for the ones who fought and died for us in war. We live in a free country, but that's only because of the brave Canadian soldiers who fought their lifes, just to make sure that we would be safe and free. Today was the toughest day that I have experienced in a long time. My family had been talking about putting our dog down, so I really should of prepared myself better for it. I was shocked by the emotions I had to losing this dog, Ill be honest in saying that I really never paid much attention to him. In fact, when I did pay attention to him It would most likely be a "go lay down" or "get lost" comment, but after today Im questioning myself why? I really wasnt the way that I should of been to this poor dog, in the long run Im the biggest jerk in the world, and now im paying for it. Today as well as this week Jack is going to be on my mind, and im going to remember all the times Ive told him to go away, and it is going to bother me. If anything, today I learned a life lesson. 1) Treat every person as if your not going to see them again, icnore absolutely no one. 2) They say "You dont know what you have until its gone" .. well all I have to say about that is its SO true, so true.

Today I made the best decision that ive ever made in my life, and the best decision that I am going to ever make in my life. Today I was baptized into Jesus Christ and confessed him as my lord and savior. Im excited to see what God has planned for me in my life, I pray that I can be a possitive impact on alot of different people. I want to let more people know who God really is, and how we would be absolutely nothing without him, thats my mission as a Christian. I was so excited to see the churches attendence this week and how many people were there, that put a huge smile on my face. I pray that them same people will come back again next week to worship God. It was really an inspiration for me seeing all the people who came out to the baptizm and supported me, I enjoyed it. Im going to close by just commenting on how thankful to God I am to have the friends that I do have.Everyone of you have been a big inspiration on me. I can not believe how much fun that I had, and how much stuff that we would learn in that one weekend at MCC. It was truely amazing, and to be honest with you I can now say that Im so happy that I went. The worship was great, learned a few new songs, particiapated in great workshops. This weekend was the best weekend I have had in a long time. I so happy that I came to Exalt so that I could spend some time with my Christian friends, it truely is an amazing feeling, the best feeling in the world.
It was also nice to go back and see Darrell. He has meant so much to me in my life. He is one of the biggest inspirations in my life and always will be. He's an amazing brother, the best one in the world. Im happy to know that I have a brother who is going to be with me always as I begin a new life with God. I love you Darrell, it was a great time on this weekend. When we meet again, its going to be the greatest moment of my life, Ill see you this weekend, where I will give my life almighty one, Jesus Christ.

Congrats to Captain MATS SUNDIN who scored his 500th career goal on Saturday, October 14th, 2006 vs the Calgary Flames. Mats sundin not only captured this long awaited milestone, but he captured it also with a Hat Trick!, and not to mention the Game Winning Goal! and not mention he ALSO scored this goal Short-Handed in OT. The leafs captain has played 1161 NHL season career games. He has 500 Goals,675 Assist, 1175 points. Will this be it for Sundin and milestones? or will he cruise to get a 700 career assist milestone? Regardless of what happens, Us Leafs fans are thankful for #13 Mats Sundin, and we can only hope for the best for the rest of his hockey career. The weekend of October 13-14, The UNB VREDS couldn't of asked for a better weekend for their two home opening hockey games in the mens AUS hockey. On Friday night the VREDS defeated the AXEMEN in a score of 5-4 in a well fought Overtime battle. On Saturday night the VREDS managed to make their record 2-0-0 as they defeated the Huskies in a score of 6-5. GO REDS GO!

UNB This Weekend!

This Thanksgiving weekend the UNB V-Reds made their way into the states for some exhibition hockey. UNB played some great hockey but failed as they went 0 for 2 on this weekend. Their games were against UMASS in which they lost 4-2, and they also lost to BOSTON University 3-2. This weekend coming up UNB makes their way back to the Capital city of New Brunswick when they will host the 2005-2006 AUS Champions, The Acadia Axeman. This game is at the AITKEN UNIVERSITY CENTER on Friday October 13th. Also that same weekend UNB will host the St.Marys Huskies on Saturday October 14th. NHL Pools Begin Very Soon! Who Will Win?

The following is the rules that are being applied for the upcoming NHL Hockey pool on Yahoo. This hockey pool held a Live Draft back in the middle of August. There has been alot of different trades made since the draft so it should be interesting to see what comes out of this in the end. This hockey pool becomes active on opening night which is Wednesday, October 4th, 2006. The teams in this hockey pool and their managers are as followed!

UNB Wins Tournament!

UNB won the gold medal game last night as the UNB Varsity Reds defeated the STFX X-Men in a score of 2-0. UNB played their backup goalie Mike Ouzaz but it didnt seem to matter, the Reds have 2 great goalies to look forward to for this upcoming 2006-2007 AUS season. The Vreds are on the road this coming weekend as they will be playing some hockey in Boston. UNB will be back home here at the Aitken center on October 13th when we will be hosting the Acadia Axemen. These guys are big idiots, we hate them. They beat UNB in the AUS finals last year winning the series 3 games to 0. This game it will be time to get our revenge, the game where we will destroy them. The game start will be 7:00 PM so be there for the highly antisapated rematch from the 05-06 playoff finals. Will UNB get their buts kicked again? or will they destroy the Axeman like they did to the STU Tommies in the Fall Classic Tournament?

ALSO... STU LOST TO UPEI 5-2 HAHA! STU is going to have a great season eh?

STFX vs UNB for GOLD!

Tonight is the Gold medal game and it is between the UNB V-REDS and the STFX X-MEN. Tonight will mark the final game for a little while as the V-reds will be heading to Boston next weekend! Also today is the STU Tommies hosting the UPEI Panthers at the York Arena at 5:30. But who cares about that game right? theres no talent in STU hockey, all their players suck, especially Justin Bowers, its just so boring to watch that hockey unless they are playing a great team like UNB.

So tonight at the Aitken Center @ 8:30 it is going to be one of the biggest rivalries in AUS hockey, the UNB Reds will go face-2-face with the STFX X-Men . This is going to be a great game, you would be crazy to miss it. GO REDS GO!

We Need A Home For Wednesday October 4th!

Thats right .. what a title for a post eh? but its true, we need a home for that special night. Now why is it a special night? Well the answer to that is quite simple, we need a home for the first game on the first night that the NHL has return. It will be the Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs so it should be a great start to the NHL season. This game is on at 8:30 . If this night is to hard for some of you people we have another chance to see the Leafs & Sens on the Thursday night, the game will be on at 8:00

Where are you on a Sunday morning? thats what I thought, no where important. Most of you most likely answered in bed! Well we will not accept that answer any more. Come to church it is so much fun from the start, Grades 9-12 are in the High School Cafe for Sunday School and it is just so amazing, we have so much fun every week. Sunday school begins at 9:30 in the morning and goes to 10:30, 10:30 is when Church begins. Come try it out, you will be amazed. See you there this sunday!

KV Officiating By Christian Haines

I must say this has been a very interesting experience for me. Today I officiated my 4th game of my huge career. The game today was between the KV Coyotes and the Stanley somethings? ... The final score was 2-2 draw, pretty great game. I would like to see you at some of the games coming up in the future so that you can have fun and stuff, you know, making fun of me for making the wrong calls.
