Good Weekend Again, And More Good Times To Come!

This weekend was yet another great one. Not so much in the hockey world as the Leafs lost to the Devils Saturday night 2-1, they played well though! And the V-Reds done good I guess as they defeated Dalhousie Tigers, but lost to the STFX X-Men in OT. I think the leafs only lost because we never watched Hockey Night In Canada at the Gilberts home.

Put a side the hockey stuff, This weekend was good in general as I got to spend some time with Chelsey Palmer, so that was some pretty fun stuff if I do say so my self, and we are going to have some more fun coming up very soon right! (December 5th)

Coming up this weekend is Game 3 of STU vs UNB, This game is held at the Aitken University Center at 7:00 .. Dan, I think this should be made as a youth group event ** HINT HINT** That is if you are not busy, the game is on Friday November 24th. Its gonna be a good one, I hope!

Are You Really A Hockey Fan? (Seriously)

Why the frig do people hate the leafs? you know, it really does begin to make a person fiercly angry. The leafs are just like any other team in the NHL, there is absolutely NO reason to hate them. Are they a Canadian team? YES! they are, shouldnt you idiots be supporting them, like I mean we only have 6 Canadian Teams in the whole NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE. In the long run, you people should feel bad about the Toronto Maple Leafs and their organization. They have had it tough,they havnt won a cup in 40 long years. So why hate the leafs? Is it because of their fanbase, that its so much bigger then your favorite NHL clubs? Is it really the fact that you are jalous, and angry about the fact that every where you go, you will see Leafs fans, is it because when the leafs are playing in your favorite NHL teams rink you will hear "GO LEAFS GO"? I really dont understand why people HATE the leafs, its sick, it really is. Its rediculous, it really is. There is no need for hate in the NHL, we have all experienced an NHL LOCKOUT, you should be THANKFUL that we have hockey in our world again today. The only reason I can see that a person would hate another NHL club, is because 1a)They have a better Team OR 1b) They are just playing way to FRIGGIN GOOD! ... think about this, Are you really a hockey fan? If the word "Hate" comes into the hockey world, im sorry to tell you my friends, you are NOT a true hockey fan. I know im going to get some nasty comments because of that, but grow up, and think about it. Canada's national sport is hockey, prove it. Thankyou, that is all.

This past weekend was yet another great one. And yes, probably because it involved alot of hockey which is always good. Its also a good thing if your team wins. (TML 5 - 1 MTL) however, UNB lost to frigen Moncton 3-1, but thats ok, we will get them next time. Wish the weekend would of been longer so that I could of done a little bit more, but hey, it was a 3 day weekend, so I guess its time for another fun week of school! Im sure it wont be that bad, look on the bright side, there are only 3 days till Friday.

Forgiveness

"As far as the East is from West, So far has he removed our transgressions from us"(Psalm 103:12). "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21). When it comes to forgiving someone I know that it can be the toughest thing in the world. But really just think about it, Think about what Jesus done for us. As many of you know this song really touched my heart, and it will always be one of my most favorite songs. This song is the song that I came forward to, to give my life to Jesus, and confess him as my Lord and savior. It was the words in this song that really tell me this is for real, Im truly honored to be a part of the family of God. To summarize this post, what im saying is all that we have to do is ADMIT that we have sinned, and believe that he will forgive us, because he will regardless of how bad the sin is. When you listen to that song above you really just need to stop and think. do you know what the word "Indescribable" means? well lets find out here. Definition 1 states this, "cannot be described . Definition 2 says "surpassing description ". Both of them translations were straight out of the webster online dictionary. When Chris Tomlin wrote this song, he could not of picked a better title then "Indescribable". As you listen to this song, just listen to the words and really take sometime to think about what is being said here. God can be explained in so many ways, he's so great,awesome,powerful,amazing and so much more. God is the reason why we are not living lifes that are just negative, God is the reason why we are where we are today in life. I've said it before and I will say it again, Im so happy to have the youth that we have, our relationships are so strong, were a team, and thats never going to change, and its all because of our indescribable God. One last time I just want to tell you to really focus on the words in this song . Praise God!!!

Leafs vs Habs (Game 3) Saturday Night!

This was game one of the year, the game was at the ACC in toronto. In this game, the first game of the year for these two, The habs won it as Kovalov won the game for the Leafs in shootout.

This was game two of this great Canadian Rivalry, it was one of the most intense shootouts that I have ever seen. So with the Habs winning game one in Toronto, and the Leafs winning game two in Montreal .. That just leads us to ask, who will win Game 3 of this 8 game divisional rivalry in Toronto, On Saturday Night?!!

Go Leafs Go!

This weekend is going to be another great one, as it is an action packed weekend of Hockey! All starting this Saturday night at Lily's house where we will be watching the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens. The past two games have went to shootout overtime, both resulting in a 5-4 win for each team. This is the 3rd game of this year for the Habs & Leafs so it should be a interesting one. Or should it? we cannot forget that our team captain (Mats Sundin) has suffered an injury to his elbow and will be out for a month! which really sucks. Heres hoping that the Leafs will keep up the good work with him out of the lineup, but if not, I must say I wouldn't be suprised.
UNB VREDS vs UDEM BLEU AIGLES
ALSO this weekend on Sunday night I will be going to the Aitken Centre where the UNB V-REDS will be hosting the UDEM Blue Angels at 7:00. I love the fact that we have no school the next day, so it will give me another day to get all my energy back after this weekend. GO REDS GO!!

Last but not least, this weekend is Remembrance day, Don't forget to take a moment just to have silence for the ones who fought and died for us in war. We live in a free country, but that's only because of the brave Canadian soldiers who fought their lifes, just to make sure that we would be safe and free. We thank them brave people, and we also thank God for giving us a free country, the best country in the world ... CANADA!

YES!! Im loving this Nascar thing already, I mean, I just got into it this weekend, selected my favorite driver to be TONY STEWART, and look at this, the boy wins the race for me in Texas. This is amazing!! this is only the beginning of me, and Tony .. were going all the way!! GO STEWART GO!! ... now thats what Im talking about!

Goodbye Jack...

Today was the toughest day that I have experienced in a long time. My family had been talking about putting our dog down, so I really should of prepared myself better for it. I was shocked by the emotions I had to losing this dog, Ill be honest in saying that I really never paid much attention to him. In fact, when I did pay attention to him It would most likely be a "go lay down" or "get lost" comment, but after today Im questioning myself why? I really wasnt the way that I should of been to this poor dog, in the long run Im the biggest jerk in the world, and now im paying for it. Today as well as this week Jack is going to be on my mind, and im going to remember all the times Ive told him to go away, and it is going to bother me. If anything, today I learned a life lesson. 1) Treat every person as if your not going to see them again, icnore absolutely no one. 2) They say "You dont know what you have until its gone" .. well all I have to say about that is its SO true, so true.

It Just Cant Get Any Better Then This

Today I made the best decision that ive ever made in my life, and the best decision that I am going to ever make in my life. Today I was baptized into Jesus Christ and confessed him as my lord and savior. Im excited to see what God has planned for me in my life, I pray that I can be a possitive impact on alot of different people. I want to let more people know who God really is, and how we would be absolutely nothing without him, thats my mission as a Christian. I was so excited to see the churches attendence this week and how many people were there, that put a huge smile on my face. I pray that them same people will come back again next week to worship God. It was really an inspiration for me seeing all the people who came out to the baptizm and supported me, I enjoyed it. Im going to close by just commenting on how thankful to God I am to have the friends that I do have.Everyone of you have been a big inspiration on me. Dan, Lucas, Darrell, Lori, Lily, Chelsey Palmer, Chelsey Gilbert, Erin, Cathy, Pam, Janelle, Patty, Christy, Matthew, Lisa & Brianne Hill, Alex, Ashlee, Reuben, Kate G, Mckenzie and probably so much more, (I know I shouldnt of started the "name game", because I suck at it!) But getting to the main point, with Friends like these, its so incrediable, really, you couldnt ask for any better people. Life is good, Praise God!

My Exalt 2006

I can not believe how much fun that I had, and how much stuff that we would learn in that one weekend at MCC. It was truely amazing, and to be honest with you I can now say that Im so happy that I went. The worship was great, learned a few new songs, particiapated in great workshops. This weekend was the best weekend I have had in a long time. I so happy that I came to Exalt so that I could spend some time with my Christian friends, it truely is an amazing feeling, the best feeling in the world.
It was also nice to go back and see Darrell. He has meant so much to me in my life. He is one of the biggest inspirations in my life and always will be. He's an amazing brother, the best one in the world. Im happy to know that I have a brother who is going to be with me always as I begin a new life with God. I love you Darrell, it was a great time on this weekend. When we meet again, its going to be the greatest moment of my life, Ill see you this weekend, where I will give my life almighty one, Jesus Christ.

UNB Losses First Game To STU

Yes, I know, kind of suprising,yet unfortanately true. STU has defated the UNB V-Reds. This win for the STU Tommies will give them their 2nd victory now making them 2 wins, 1 loss. While this makes UNB's record 2 wins, 1 loss also. The final score in this game was 3-1 for the Tommies, the next STUNB game is held November 24th so make sure you take that weekend off, to support our UNB VARSITY REDS!!

# 13 Captures Goal # 500 .. (Congrats Mats Sundin)

Congrats to Captain MATS SUNDIN who scored his 500th career goal on Saturday, October 14th, 2006 vs the Calgary Flames. Mats sundin not only captured this long awaited milestone, but he captured it also with a Hat Trick!, and not to mention the Game Winning Goal! and not mention he ALSO scored this goal Short-Handed in OT. The leafs captain has played 1161 NHL season career games. He has 500 Goals,675 Assist, 1175 points. Will this be it for Sundin and milestones? or will he cruise to get a 700 career assist milestone? Regardless of what happens, Us Leafs fans are thankful for #13 Mats Sundin, and we can only hope for the best for the rest of his hockey career. You just never know, the Leafs could pull out a stanley cup for the Maple Leafs, you just never know .. UNB With A Very Successful Weekend!

The weekend of October 13-14, The UNB VREDS couldn't of asked for a better weekend for their two home opening hockey games in the mens AUS hockey. On Friday night the VREDS defeated the AXEMEN in a score of 5-4 in a well fought Overtime battle. On Saturday night the VREDS managed to make their record 2-0-0 as they defeated the Huskies in a score of 6-5. GO REDS GO!

UNB This Weekend!

This Thanksgiving weekend the UNB V-Reds made their way into the states for some exhibition hockey. UNB played some great hockey but failed as they went 0 for 2 on this weekend. Their games were against UMASS in which they lost 4-2, and they also lost to BOSTON University 3-2. This weekend coming up UNB makes their way back to the Capital city of New Brunswick when they will host the 2005-2006 AUS Champions, The Acadia Axeman. This game is at the AITKEN UNIVERSITY CENTER on Friday October 13th. Also that same weekend UNB will host the St.Marys Huskies on Saturday October 14th. Both games begin at 7:00 so we hope to see you there! Especially for the home opener! Go Reds Go!!

NHL Pools Begin Very Soon! Who Will Win?

The following is the rules that are being applied for the upcoming NHL Hockey pool on Yahoo. This hockey pool held a Live Draft back in the middle of August. There has been alot of different trades made since the draft so it should be interesting to see what comes out of this in the end. UNB Wins Tournament!

UNB won the gold medal game last night as the UNB Varsity Reds defeated the STFX X-Men in a score of 2-0. UNB played their backup goalie Mike Ouzaz but it didnt seem to matter, the Reds have 2 great goalies to look forward to for this upcoming 2006-2007 AUS season. The Vreds are on the road this coming weekend as they will be playing some hockey in Boston. UNB will be back home here at the Aitken center on October 13th when we will be hosting the Acadia Axemen. These guys are big idiots, we hate them. They beat UNB in the AUS finals last year winning the series 3 games to 0. This game it will be time to get our revenge, the game where we will destroy them. The game start will be 7:00 PM so be there for the highly antisapated rematch from the 05-06 playoff finals. Will UNB get their buts kicked again? or will they destroy the Axeman like they did to the STU Tommies in the Fall Classic Tournament?
